About

Hi, I’m Pedro.

I’m a software engineer based in Brazil, currently working on large-scale backend systems in highly regulated environments. Over the years, I’ve built platforms where correctness, reliability, and long-term maintainability matter more than novelty — the kind of systems where mistakes are expensive and edge cases are never theoretical. I’ve had the chance to work on problems like these at Amazon and now at Avalara.

This blog is where I think in public.

I use it to write about software architecture, automation, incentives, and the kinds of technical problems that sit at the intersection of code and the real world. Some posts are deeply technical; others are reflective. All of them are attempts to clarify ideas that feel important enough to keep.

This isn’t a portfolio or a content strategy. It’s a personal notebook — written carefully, published openly, and updated whenever I learn something worth writing down.
